Born in Akron, Ohio, Joyce always knew she wanted to be an event planner. She attended Akron University and was always asked to create the themes and atmosphere for all sorority and fraternity events. She became "the" planner on campus. After moving to Los Angeles, California, she connected with the movers and shakers of Hollywood and began coordinating their events.

She has given political fundraisers for the mayors of Los Angeles ( Tom Bradley and James Hahn) and for Rev. Jesse Jackson when he became the first serious black candidate for president . Her connections and event savvy raised more money than any other events during the time. Ms. Baker has the "know how" to put the right people together with the right venues and right vendors.

Later, she began working with The Doubletree Hotel in Westwood, California as a VIP concierge.  She maintained most of her client base from the hotel when she started her own business, Ms. Concierge.  Her clients have been from all walks of life. She has done events for physicians, orthodontists, attorneys, sports figures, family, friends, and business associates just to name a few. From yacht parties, galas, silent auctions,, celebrity concerts, sporting week-ends (NBA/NFL all star parties), launch parties, golf tournaments, tennis tournaments, and numerous other events she creates the "buzz" needed to be a success.

Joyce has the knowledge to research any possibilities for events and she has the capabilities to put those possiblities to create a successful event. Professionalism and creativity are Ms. Concierge's motto.
